- Destination: Paddel-und-Pedal station Augustfehn
The route starts at the dock of the Paddel-und-Pedal station Stickhausen on the Jümme heading south. The Jümme flows around the town of Detern in a wide arc before reaching the mouth of the Aper Tief after about 1 hour. Turn left here. For the first break, there is a rest dock "Französischer Weg" 500m into the Aper Tief. After about 30 minutes the rest dock Holtgast is reached. Another 45 minutes later the junction of the Nordloher Canal is reached, the route continues straight for a short distance before turning left into the Augustfehn canal. Behind the steel Fehn bridge there is a dock for putting out in case the Solschwelle cannot be crossed, otherwise you can paddle up to the dock of the Paddel-und-Pedal station Augustfehn.
Approximately at the Holtgast rest dock, you cross on the water the historic border between Protestant East Frisia and Catholic Oldenburg land.

Safety guidelines
All participants should be able to swim safely.
Alcohol consumption is also not allowed on the water.
Keep distance from other watercraft. Canoes must always give way and are sometimes poorly seen by motorboat drivers.
Start time must be coordinated with the tide times to avoid a trip against the current.
