Auguste, the quick-witted moor settler with a dry sense of humor and plenty of stories to share, knows Augustfehn like the back of her hand. On her entertaining tour through the marsh village, she candidly shares insider stories and describes what life in the marsh was really like back then—far removed from history books and glossy romanticizations.

Along the way, you’ll learn fascinating details about the origins of Augustfehn, the culture of the marshlands, and the harsh daily lives of the people who carved out a home here with courage, hard work, and perseverance.
With plenty of charm, wit, and lively anecdotes, Auguste brings the past back to life. You’ll almost think you can hear the clatter of horses’ hooves, see the carriages rumbling by, and witness the bustling activity on the streets of yesteryear.
