Puddle ovens
The 14 forged iron "lobes" on iron columns are intended to remind of the early days of the ironworks, when malleable iron was produced in 14 "puddle furnaces". The memorial was erected in 2011 by the blacksmith Alfred Bullermann, Friesoythe.
