Lastenrad Herbord

With us, you can borrow our cargo bike “Herbord” for free for up to three days a week or over the weekend and explore the region.
The cargo bike has two seat belts in the front, so children can ride along too. 
Booking and registration are only available through the “Ostfriesen-Fiets” website!

The cargo bike can then be picked up at Apen Touristik during business hours.

Please note that …

… pickup and return are only possible during Apen Touristik’s business hours:
    Mon–Fri: 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.;    

• … transporting animals is not permitted.
• …the transport of persons aged 14 and older in the transport box is not permitted.
• …the vehicle’s roadworthiness must be checked before starting the trip.
• …the maximum weight of 250 kg, including the rider and bicycle, must not be exceeded.
• …the bicycle must be locked to a fixed object using the chain lock whenever possible to adequately secure it against theft.
• …the user must maintain personal liability insurance to cover liability arising from the rental. The user is liable for damage to or loss of the bicycle or its parts, including keys and locks.
• … the charger, user manual, chain lock, and/or rain cover will be provided to you.
• … the e-cargo bike will be handed over fully charged.
• … any defects or damage must be reported immediately.
• … dirt and grime must be cleaned off the e-cargo bike by the user after each use.
