Ham Museum
The oldest ham smokehouse in the Ammerland is located in Apen. It was founded in 1748 and is now a museum. Here ham is smoked according to old tradition and also offered for sale. The Ammerland ham is a culinary specialty of the region, which is recognized as "Ammerland ham bread" on many menus.

AB 28 Abfahrt Apen/Remels in Richtung Apen fahren. Im Ort Apen links auf die "Hauptstraße" abbiegen und nach ca. 200 Metern befindet sich das Schinkenmuseum auf der rechten Straßenseite.
