Naturpark Wattenmeer

The approx. 54-kilometer-long route leads from Rastede via Wiefelstede and Varel to the Jadebusen. Numerous fish restaurants invite you to rest here in the harbor. From the dike, you can already catch a first glimpse of the quiet zones of the Nationalpark Wattenmeer hidden behind. The Wadden Sea is recognized by the UNESCO World Heritage Commission as a World Natural Heritage. In Jaderberg, there is the possibility to visit the Jaderpark.

Highlights:

• Beachclub Nethen (Nethen): Here, cyclists will find a dreamlike white sandy beach, tropical sun umbrellas, and crystal-clear water. Right next to the admission-required bathing lake, a café and a snack bar offer food and drinks. Especially in nice summer weather, it is the perfect place for a short break. The beach club also includes a water skiing facility and a dog beach.
• The Varel harbor offers berths for private sports boats and is the home port of some fishing cutters, a location for commercial enterprises, and a tourist attraction. For cyclists, it is advisable to enjoy fish in the various gastronomy establishments with a fresh sea breeze.
• The Jaderpark in Jaderberg is a privately owned animal and leisure park. The park is divided into four theme areas: the zoo, the leisure park, the adventure park, and the fun park. The family-friendly Jaderpark is considered an ideal excursion destination for young and old and is easily accessible by bike.
