Dike hike on the Aper Tief
On this guided tour you will learn interesting facts about the only freshwater mudflats in the northwest. It was created in 2005 when a dike was relocated. This intervention created a retention area that absorbs the flooding of the Aper Tief. This landscape is shaped by the ebb and flow of the tides and its own flora and fauna formed in the area designated as a nature reserve. Our tour guide takes you on a walk to the most beautiful places and it is not uncommon for you to find freshwater mussels on the dike.
