The well-tended gardens always catch your eye on a bike tour or a walk through Apen. They are lovingly cared for by their owners in every season. Especially around Pentecost, they shine in the splendour of the many blooming rhododendrons that are so typical of the Ammerland parkland.

Some garden owners also like to open their garden gates to visitors. Let yourself be surprised by the beauty of nature!

Landhof Tausendschön

The country house Tausendschön is idyllically located in the Klauhörn district of the Apen municipality. The farm was still managed until a few years ago. The "Adventure" garden started for the Gertje family when the business was abandoned! Various garden rooms were designed on the 6000 m² site. Enchanted paths, idyllic corners and lush beds invite you to linger.

In the former cowshed there is a cafe and a lovingly designed area with a garden and living accessories for your home.

From May to September, the garden is open to guests every Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on the day of the open gardens from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Gertje family is happy to open their garden for groups outside of the times mentioned above. Please register by phone on 04489 5651.

The Kräuterkörbchen" of the Kühl family is integrated in the idyllic Fehn landscape of the Apen municipality, in the district of Tange. The approx. 3000 m³ natural garden deliberately offers the natural vegetation plenty of room to grow and spread out, so that you can experience the wild herbs native to our region and learn about their use.

The "Kräuterkörbchen" works with wild herbs that have almost been forgotten today. Enjoy herbal / wild herb snacks and a refreshing lemonade in the "Kräuterkörbchent"! Who can resist?
