On this approx. Two-hour hike along the dyke at the Aper Tief, you will learn informative and instructive information about our water-rich Fehn area and the only fresh water mud flats in the northwest. Here you can experience how low and high tides have created a unique natural landscape in the interior. Walk across the dyke with your eyes open: it is not uncommon to find shells there!

A birdwatching hike takes place once a year at the Aper Tief in April under the expert guidance of Mr. Eckart Liebl (BUND). Not only will you listen to the bluethroat, an eagle has also made the nature reserve its own. If you are lucky, you can spot him on the morning hike.
This tour takes place once a year at the end of April. The date will be announced promptly via the local press.
